Privacy policy
Ingredo · Last updated August 2026
Ingredo turns a photo of your fridge into dinner ideas. This page says exactly what data moves where. Plain language, no legal fog.
What we process
- Fridge photos. Photos you take or pick are sent to an AI model provider (OpenRouter, routing to Google Gemini) so ingredients can be recognized and dishes generated. Photos are used for that analysis only.
- Your choices. Picks, skips, ratings, and preferences build your taste profile. On an anonymous install this never leaves your phone.
- Account data (optional). If you register, your email and saved recipes sync to our backend (Supabase, hosted in the EU) so they survive reinstalls.
- Coarse location (optional). If you allow it, we fetch the current weather so suggestions fit the day. If you decline, we use the calendar season. Location is never stored.
What we never do
- No ads, no trackers, no analytics SDKs.
- No sale or sharing of personal data. Full stop.
- No training of models on your photos by us.
Storage and deletion
Anonymous data lives only on your device; deleting the app deletes it. Account data can be deleted on request, which removes your email, saved recipes, and taste profile from our backend within 30 days.
